TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION ACTIVITES

Tyler Wickerham paddles his boat across the pool as part of his Boat Hull Challenge in Power, Energy,  and Transportation. Tyler and his group had to design and engineer a boat hull from cardboard that would transport one of their team members the length of the pool and back.

Andrew Bowers works in Power, Energy, and Transportation to create a template for the wheels on his Mouse Trap Vehicle design. Andrew knows that the larger the diameter of the wheel, the greater the circumference; therefore the greater linear distance per rotation of the axle the vehicle will travel making it more efficient.

Mario Leone works on his design of a Mouse Trap Powered Vehicle in the Energy, Power and Transportation class. Students create their design either mechanically or electronically to engineer a vehicle that will travel a maximum distance possible.

Royce Riva and Stefan Bonasorte work on the front suspension for 3 wheeled wood chopper vehicle for the spring musical Beauty and the Beast. “Maurice” (Mario Leone) will be operating the vehicle in the musical. These students volunteer to help build this project as well as other construction projects on the stage.
