Penn State Fayette - Announcing New Major

Penn State Fayette,The Eberly Campus is happy to announce that effective the fall 2010 semester the associate degree in physical therapist assistant will be offered.

The PTA Program at Penn State Fayette includes five semesters of studies - four semesters of course work followed by a semester-long practicum in a health care setting. This balanced curriculum helps students prepare to support professional physical therapists in patient treatment. Through a combination of science and non science course work, students gain skill and knowledge in the use of equipment and exercise in physical therapy treatment.

Physical therapist assistants (PTAs) graduate with an associate's degree after two years of study. PTAs work under the direction of a physical therapist.

Harvard University Announcement
 

Harvard University announced over the weekend that from now on undergraduate students from low-income families will pay no tuition.  In making the announcement, Harvard's president Lawrence H. Summers said, "When only ten percent of the students in elite higher education come from families in the lower half of the income distribution, we are not doing enough.  We are not doing enough in bringing elite higher education to the lower half of the income distribution."  

If you know of a family earning less than $60,000 a year with an honor student graduating from high school soon, Harvard University wants to pay the tuition.  The prestigious university recently announced that from now on undergraduate students from low-income families can go to
Harvard for free... no tuition and no student loans!

Thiel Full Tuition Presidential Scholarship Competition will be available on January 31, 2010.  Students who have met the minimum scholarship requirement of an 1100 math/reading SAT (24 composite ACT) and have a 3.75 cumulative GPA are eligible to compete.  You must apply at www.thiel.edu
